Jeffers Class

Autumn Term (First Half Term)

This half term Jeffers Class have been very busy. Everyone’s favourite lesson has been Art, our focus has been on textiles and everyone worked really hard on their sewing skills to create a tactile piece of artwork inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s floral art work. In P.E. we have been learning how to play invasion games and focused closely on netball, the class have enjoyed learning lots of the rules and skills involved and played some 3 vs 3 games to put all of their learnt skills into practice. The children have also enjoyed our focus in Science on Animals, Including humans and learning about all the different groups of animals. Year 2s in particular have also been loving taking part in active maths lessons with Mr Parker.

 

 

Wonderland

Summer Term (Second Half Term)

Wonderland have had a really busy half term and completed lots of fabulous learning. In English everyone has worked really hard writing poetry and stories related to The Colour Monster story.

During PE the class prepared lots for sports day and enjoyed getting involved in lots of different athletics tasks. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in sports day as well.

During DT we have been learning about shell structures, everyone explored shell structures designed and created their own bug houses out of cardboard using a variety of DT techniques.

During Music everyone has been continuing to learn how to play the glockenspiel and worked towards creating their own pieces of music on the glockenspiel using certain notes, these were then performed to the class.
