RSE
Kapow Primary’s Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) scheme takes a spiral approach to the curriculum and therefore areas will be revisited and further developed in the subsequent year group. It is most effective for children when parents/carers are aware of what their child is learning in school in this subject and prepared to be able to discuss these areas with them at home should they wish to. We are committed to sharing as much information as possible with parents to assist them. Parents are encouraged to speak to their child’s class teacher if they have any questions or concerns.
Within the policy linked below, parents and carers can find information and guidance on RSE in primary schools as well as specific curriculum content information for our school. For any queries, parents and carers should not hesitate to contact their child’s class teacher or a member of the leadership team who would be happy to help.
Any withdrawal requests, need to be made to the Headteacher in writing. It is likely that a meeting will be held following a written request to allow for further discussion between home and school.
