Governing Body

Introduction

The Board of Trustees at Anglian Learning has overall responsibility for setting the trust’s strategic direction and ensuring the strong performance of its individual academies.  It delegates a number of these responsibilities to Local Governing Bodies (LGB) associated with each school, including the following:

• Agreeing an improvement strategy for their schools and supporting and challenging academy leaders to deliver excellent outcomes
• Assisting in setting the vision and ethos of the academies
• Reflecting and shaping the views of key stakeholders (parents, staff, pupils and the local community)

Since September 2024 Fen Ditton Primary School and Marleigh Primary Academy have shared a joint Governing Body, made up of governors from both schools.  There are 12 governors, including Emily Thompson, the Executive Headteacher.   More information about each governor and their role can be found in the Governor Details document for 2024/25 below.
